Suvarna Law firm — Bangkok pension law

A Practice Built on Steady,
Patient Legal Work

Suvarna Law was founded to address a straightforward need: people in Thailand who faced pension record errors had few accessible legal options. We set out to change that — one matter at a time.

How Suvarna Law Came to Be

Suvarna Law opened its Bangkok office in 2009, on Rama IV Road in Khlong Toei. The founding partners had spent the previous decade working within larger commercial practices, where pension matters were often treated as a minor annex to employment law — handled quickly, with less attention than the complexity of the records sometimes warranted.

The decision to build a focused practice around pension legal matters came from a recognition that the people who most needed help — those nearing or in retirement, those who had changed employers multiple times, those working under contracts that did not clearly specify contribution arrangements — were rarely served well by a generalist firm.

Since then, Suvarna Law has assisted hundreds of clients across Bangkok and the wider Bangkok Metropolitan Region. Our work covers the full range of pension record matters: identifying discrepancies, preparing correction submissions to the Social Security Office, and representing clients in formal dispute proceedings when required.

What We Stand For

Quiet Competence

We do not believe legal support needs to be loud to be effective. The most valuable thing we offer is careful, methodical attention to your records and clear communication about what we find.

Respect for the Client's Time

Pension matters are rarely urgent in a dramatic sense, but they are important. We work without unnecessary delays, explain each step plainly, and do not keep you waiting for answers.

Transparency at Every Stage

We share what we find, even when the answer is not the one a client hoped for. Honest assessments of a situation are more useful than optimistic ones.

The People Behind Your Matter

A small, consistent team means your file is handled by people who know it from first contact to final outcome.

How We Work

Professional standards are not a marketing claim — they are a practical commitment that shapes how we handle every file.

Thai Bar Association Members

All lawyers at Suvarna Law are registered members of the Lawyers Council of Thailand, maintaining good standing and adherence to the professional code of conduct.

Client Confidentiality Protocol

All client records and communications are stored securely and accessed only by those working directly on the matter. We follow Thai data protection requirements and internal confidentiality procedures.

Written Record of Every Step

We document the actions taken in each matter in writing and provide clients with notes after key meetings or submissions. Nothing significant happens without you being informed.

Fee Transparency

Fees are agreed before work begins. We do not introduce additional charges without discussion and prior agreement. Clients are not billed for brief telephone clarifications.

Regular Case Updates

On matters lasting more than two weeks, we provide updates at least fortnightly — or sooner if something changes. Long silences are not part of how we work.

English-Language Service

Non-Thai-speaking clients receive all communications, written notes, and meeting discussions in English. We do not require clients to follow proceedings in a language they are not comfortable with.

Pension Law in the Thai Context

Pension entitlements in Thailand are governed primarily through the Social Security Act and related ministerial regulations. For employees who have contributed to the Social Security Fund over an extended working life, the accuracy of those contribution records matters considerably — both for the level of pension received and for the resolution of any disputes about entitlement.

Errors in pension records arise for various reasons. Employer contribution data may have been reported inconsistently, periods of employment may have been recorded under an incorrect identification number, or a change of employer may have resulted in a break in the contribution record that should not have occurred. These are not uncommon situations, and they are generally correctable when approached through the right channels with appropriate documentation.

Suvarna Law works closely with the Social Security Office and related administrative bodies in Bangkok. We understand the documentation requirements, the standard timelines for responses, and the process for escalating matters that are not resolved at the initial stage. This practical familiarity with the process means we can advise clients on what is realistically achievable and at what pace.

For clients facing more complex situations — where the matter has already been disputed, where there is a disagreement about the calculation methodology, or where the employer involved is no longer operating — our full representation service provides continuity across every stage of the process.
